Precious Bundles

Our principal focus with every “Precious Bundle” is ensuring the bundle is designed uniquely for each family.  “Bundles” are created to accommodate the family’s current needs.

NICU ‘Precious Bundles’ – Contain basic items for the family’s immediate use in the NICU such as a blanket, journal, Purell/Lysol wipes, along with gift cards for meals and travel, thus granting parents more time to focus on their little one(s).

Going Home ‘Precious Bundles’ – Essential for families to feel prepared and ready when their little one comes home from the NICU, it may include diapers, clothing, formula, and other specific preemie needs. These Bundles may also contain gift cards for food which can assist in alleviating cooking and meal preparation worries.

Sibling ‘Precious Bundles’ – Specifically geared towards children whose parents are spending much of their time in the NICU. Often under the care of grandparents , other relatives or a babysitter, they may feel left out or lost. Parent’s may feel guilty leaving their child(ren). Some child(ren) may have special or medical needs. Our Sibling Bundle is based on child(ren)s age, interests, and need, and give parents an opportunity to talk with the child(ren) concerning the chaotic situation and express they are not alone or forgotten.

In Memory ‘Precious Bundles’ – Parents and families are acquainted with Hope, Strength, Spirit and Miracles but unfortunately some are also familiar with loss.  They recognize how tremendously fragile baby is when born too early, and even though their thoughts, prayers, healing energy and modern medicine are amazingly powerful, sometimes it’s just not enough to prevent families from having to say goodbye too soon. Our In Memory ‘Precious Bundle’ provides information for the healing process and also includes an inscribed memento of choice to honor their baby’s memory.

Hospital Support & Education

We work directly with hospital administration and NICU staff to promote activities during a preemie's NICU stay.  We will work with the mother/family to support pumping and breastfeeding efforts during  hospitalization and after coming home.  We also provide local connections for daycare, support groups and other organizations to support the transition home.

Community Outreach

Our involvement goes well beyond the NICU.  We partner with other non profit organizations to provide additional assistance for those with multiple needs. Families with babies that have medical or physical limitations can be connected with organizations to provide developmental support and therapy.  We can also provide information for state and federal programs that may be available to the family during this difficult time.
